Coconut Octopus - [Amphioctopus marginatus]

This octopus is know because of its portable housse. They like to use half coconut shells for thier home and can be seen walking around with it. I have seen these critters with a large half clam shell beneath them and an old porcelain electrical socket for on top. They eat crabs, shrimps and clams. The one pictured here is in a Sprite bottle. He was very friendly. He was hidden inside and when I peered closer at him, he started to come out. I must have watched him for a half an hour. About 4 months later I found him at around the same depth in the same bottle!

How archival are Metal Prints?
Images printed with the MetalPrints process will last for generations when displayed indoors and out of direct sunlight. Like any fine art print, MetalPrints should not be exposed to direct sunlight or high outdoor temperatures.
