Heron or Cattle Egret - [Bubulcus ibis]
Petulu, Ubud, Bali, Indonesia
Kokokan (Heron) birds of Petulu have a Balinese story behind them. Search 'The Sotr of Kokokan Birds of Petulu Village' to read about it. I had heard about the village from my driver. He told me they are living in the trees and are very close to the road. They breed in November/December which would be a great time to see their babies. I decided I needed to go and see them at that time. I was amazed at how many birds were there. Loads of them. They were in the palm trees, on houses, walking along the road and in the rice fields. They are such beautiful birds. So elegant looking to me. And when the sun lights them up from behind, on some their beaks become a translucent red color.

How archival are Metal Prints?
Images printed with the MetalPrints process will last for generations when displayed indoors and out of direct sunlight. Like any fine art print, MetalPrints should not be exposed to direct sunlight or high outdoor temperatures. MetalPrints have an additional benefit over giclee or photographic processes in that they are waterproof and have an ultra-hard scratch resistant coating. The archival value of a print should be judged not only by its resistance to degradation by U.V. light and ozone exposure, but also to moisture and surface damage. When these factors are brought into the equation, MetalPrints are an excellent way to preserve an image.
